International Admissions Requirements

This page contains information for international (F1) students and students presenting international academic credentials for admission to UCF.

Steps to Apply:

1. Complete and submit the online application

Submitting an application for admission requires a $30 nonrefundable fee in U.S. Dollars.

2. Submit required academic documents

The academic documents required will vary based upon your entry level.

A transfer applicant is one who has completed 12 or more semester hours of post-secondary (college or university) credit hours after secondary school (high school) completion. For transfer admission criteria, please visit the Transfer Applicants page.

All transfer students must submit:

Official transcripts from all U.S. post-secondary schools (colleges and universities), if applicable

Official course-by-course evaluation from Josef Silny & Associates or World Education Services for all international post-secondary (college or university coursework, if applicable

Official AP, IB, AICE, CLEP and Cambridge AS/A level score reports for exams taken, if applicable.

Applicants who have not completed more than 11 semester hours of post-secondary credit after secondary school completion.

Official transcripts, graduation certificates and/or leaving exam results for all international and U.S. secondary schools (high schools) attended. Refer to our Country Reference Guide for a list of secondary school credentials required by country.
NOTE: Students with a combination of international and domestic secondary coursework will not be presented with the SPARK Form. UCF will evaluate the international secondary work directly from the transcript or other appropriate credential.

Certified literal translation for any documentation submitted in a language other than English, if applicable

All official AICE, AP, Cambridge AS/A level scores, CLEP and IB scores, if applicable

Official Standardized Test Scores* from either the SAT [code: 5233], ACT [code: 0735] or CLT *SAT and ACT scores must have been taken within the last five years; CLT scores must have been taken July 1, 2023 or later

3. Submit proof of English proficiency, if required

An applicant whose native language is other than English shall show proficiency in written and spoken English by one of the following means:

NOTE: Applicants must submit official test scores to UCF. Any tests not included above are not endorsed by UCF. Successful completion of one of the specified English proficiency tests does not guarantee admission to UCF.

4. Submit required immigration documentation

International applicants must submit immigration-related documents to UCF Global. For a list of required documents, visit UCF Global.

Florida BOG Regulation 6.001 (7) authorizes universities to refuse admission to applicants due to past misconduct. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
